What It's Like To Work Here
The Cotswolds National Landscape is an amazing place to work, and we care for a diverse range of sites. The area has a rich history, and you will experience this through the landscape, the communities, and the built environment. With nationally important grassland and woodland, numerous tenanted farms and several large projects to restore nature, there's a lot to get excited about – which is why we have such an enthusiastic and motivated team!
The Sherborne Estate encapsulates the wider diversity of the area – limestone grassland, parkland, broadleaved woodland, water meadows, arable farmland, pasture, and rivers – we have an incredible range of landscapes spread across 1672 hectares. The size and diversity of the estate support a vast range of wildlife; it is a place of unique and unspoilt countryside.
Dover’s Hill and Broadway/Clump Farm sit on the Cotswolds escarpment where visitors can experience incredible views from the Cotswold Way which runs through the properties. Littleworth Wood is a small but important property, managed through coppicing to provide excellent wildlife value. Bibury is home to the famous Arlington Row as well as a wonderful wet meadow and Cotswold stream and river habitats.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
