Rapid Prototyping POD Lead
Hybrid travel to the London office 2x per week
The Opportunity
We're working with a fast-moving organisation looking for a POD Captain to own delivery for a cross-functional engineering team from sprint planning through to client sign-off. This is a hybrid leadership role: part delivery manager, part client partner, part technical governor. You'll be the single throat to the client, the person who keeps the team unblocked, and the one accountable for shipping production solutions on schedule.

What You'll Do
- Own delivery velocity: ship production solutions on schedule, with zero defects
- Drive daily standups and resolve blockers same-day — target: within 4 hours
- Own sprint planning, backlog grooming and velocity tracking (target: 40-point sprints, 85%+ commitment accuracy)
- Act as single point of contact for client technical questions, scope and expectations
- Run weekly client status reviews, communicating progress in business terms
- Manage change requests, evaluate schedule/budget impact, and make go/no-go calls with client sign-off
- Coach and grow engineers — weekly pairing, skill-gap assessment, blameless postmortems
- Own architectural governance in collaboration with the Solution Architect and FDE coding standards, security, compliance, and a living ADR
- Own the POD's cost centre, hiring decisions and tooling/infra investments

What You'll Bring
- 8+ years in software delivery, product management, or engineering leadership
- 3+ years managing cross-functional teams (backend, frontend, data, QA) in agile environments
- Experience scaling delivery from 0→1 (discovery, MVP) through 1→N (scale, optimisation)
- Client-facing leadership background B2B software sales, managed services, or enterprise consulting
- Technical depth: comfortable reviewing API contracts, data schemas, deployment logs and cloud platform patterns, with enough grounding to challenge backend/frontend decisions and understand Oracle/Azure integration considerations

- AI/ML project delivery experience (LLM tuning, agent orchestration, prompt engineering)
- UAE market knowledge (compliance, hiring, vendor ecosystems)
- Oracle and Azure cloud experience
