Rapid Responder Healthcare Assistant – CHO6
Right at Home is one of Ireland’s leading and award-winning home care providers. We are currently recruiting a full-time Rapid Responder Healthcare Assistant to work across the CHO6 area, including South Dublin, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area.

The Role
As a Rapid Responder Healthcare Assistant, you will provide safe, professional and compassionate care to clients in their own homes. You will also support the team by covering urgent or unplanned care calls when required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to urgent on-call issues and covering care calls when Care Workers are sick or unavailable
- Delivering care in line with each client’s individual Home Care Plan
- Supporting clients with personal care, showering, dressing and toileting
- Providing medication prompting in accordance with the Home Care Plan
- Preparing meals and assisting with light household duties
- Supporting clients to maintain their independence and social involvement
- Protecting the dignity, privacy, safety and well-being of clients at all times
- Accurately documenting all care provided
- Reporting any concerns or changes in a client’s condition in line with company policy
- Supporting the Supervisor and wider care team during quieter periods

Required Competencies and Qualifications
- Compassion, patience and empathy
- Reliable, attentive and committed to providing a high standard of care
- Strong communication skills with clients, families and the support team
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- Good awareness of health and safety and organisational policies
- Previous experience providing care is desirable
- A minimum of two QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support modules, including Care Skills and Care of the Older Person
- Commitment to completing the full QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support award within two years
- Full driving licence and access to your own car
- Valid Patient Moving and Handling certificate, or willingness to complete training
- International Police Clearance, where applicable
