Your New Company

A leading independent firm of Chartered Surveyors is looking to expand its specialist Rating team due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work. Renowned for delivering expert property advice across the commercial sector, the business offers an excellent platform for surveyors looking to develop their careers within a supportive and collaborative environment. Your New Role

You will join a well-established Rating team, advising a diverse range of commercial clients on business rates, liabilities, appeals, and valuation matters. Working across a varied property portfolio, you will play a key role in helping clients minimize costs and maximize value. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing business rates appeals and negotiations.
  • Reviewing rating assessments and identifying appeal opportunities.
  • Conducting property inspections and valuation analysis.
  • Preparing reports and providing strategic advice to clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supporting wider professional services and valuation work where required.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Degree qualified in Real Estate, Surveying, Property, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in rating, valuation, general practice, or another commercial property discipline is advantageous.
  • MRICS qualified, APC enrolled, or looking to pursue chartership.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive approach and genuine interest in building a career within rating consultancy.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
