Requirements

Your Mission

As a Raw Material QA Technician, you'll be responsible for the quality control of raw materials entering site, from intake sampling and testing through to specification management. The role ensures every raw material meets Years' quality standards before it's released into production, and supports wider food safety compliance through cold store temperature monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sample and test incoming raw materials in line with agreed testing protocols and frequencies
  • Check raw materials on intake against specification, covering visual inspection, documentation, and any required physical or chemical checks
  • Create, maintain, and update raw material intake specifications, keeping them aligned with supplier data and current formulations
  • Record and check fridge and cold store temperatures across P1 and P2, escalating any deviations immediately
  • Identify and quarantine any non-conforming raw materials, raising holds and non-conformance reports as required
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready intake and testing records
  • Liaise with suppliers and the wider technical team on quality queries, certificates of analysis, and traceability documentation
  • Support internal and external audits (SALSA, APHA, customer) with intake QC records and evidence
  • Flag recurring supplier quality issues to the Technical Manager

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
