Are you passionate about quality and driving improvements at the very start of the supply chain?
At Finlay Beverages, we're looking for a Raw Materials Quality Manager to lead our Quality at Source approach, ensuring the quality, safety and integrity of our tea, coffee and other raw materials from supplier through to manufacturing.
This is a unique opportunity to work across global tea and coffee supply chains, partnering with suppliers, sourcing teams and technical experts to build robust supplier quality programmes and deliver sustainable quality improvements that make a real impact on our products and customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading supplier approval, re-approval and supplier quality assurance programmes.
- Managing and improving raw material quality specifications and standards.
- Driving supplier audits, risk assessments and corrective action programmes.
- Working closely with suppliers to strengthen their quality management systems and food safety controls.
- Embedding a true Quality at Source philosophy, helping suppliers identify and eliminate defects before they enter the supply chain.
- Owning quality performance data, reporting, trend analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Overseeing our tea and coffee tasting laboratories, ensuring robust sensory evaluation and quality assessment processes.
- Partnering with sourcing, procurement, operations, technical and sustainability teams to ensure quality remains central to decision-making.
- Supporting supplier performance management through meaningful KPIs and accountability measures.

What We're Looking For
- Degree qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, Agricultural Sciences or a related discipline
- Lead Auditor qualification and HACCP Level 3
- Experience in quality management within food, beverage, agricultural or ingredient supply chains
- Strong supplier quality assurance and supplier auditing experience
- Knowledge of food safety systems, GMP, supplier approval and risk management
- Experience analysing quality data and turning insights into action
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A passion for quality, continuous improvement and supplier development
Experience within tea, coffee, beverages, botanicals or other globally sourced agricultural commodities would be highly advantageous.
