About the Role

Are you passionate about health & safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced logistics environment?

Arla Foods are currently seeking a RCA Despatch Technician to join our developing Despatch operation on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of colleagues within the Roller Cage Area through ensuring standard operating procedures are adhered to, the area is at the correct standard, and working to always improve processes and eliminate risk.

How You Will Make an Impact

Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, the successful candidate will process returned Tetra Cages, ensure accurate handling, record key data, and maintain high standards of organization and efficiency within the returns cage area. You will be required to work with key stakeholders to ensure timely and effective escalations. You will also be responsible for carrying out OAC on RCA equipment to help with maintenance and performance.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Receive, sort, and process returned Tetra Cages in line with company procedures
  • Inspect returned Tetra Cages to determine condition and appropriate next steps (restock, repair, dispose, or escalate)
  • Ensure the returns cage area remains clean, organized, and safe always
  • Create, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the RCA area as well as reviewing risk assessments
  • Train, coach, and support colleagues to ensure safe and efficient working practices

What Will Make You Successful

The ideal candidate will ideally bring experience from a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environment. We are looking for somebody with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and having a continuous improvement mindset will help you succeed. It is essential you are confident in issuing feedback as well as challenging unacceptable behaviors while having the ambition and ability to improve departmental ways of working.
