About The Role
As an R&D Analytical Assistant at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment alongside a team of expert scientists dedicated to ensuring product safety and efficacy. Your meticulous attention to detail, technical curiosity in problem solving and collaborative approach will be crucial in supporting and delivering new product developments.
Accountable and responsible for the day-to-day execution of analytical and support related tasks relating to the Mucinex category team workload or Analytical laboratory, as defined by the Mucinex team Senior Associate or Analytical Laboratory Manager/Deputy.
The Analytical Assistant is responsible for ensuring that they deliver their output effectively and efficiently in compliance with current Good Laboratory practice thereby providing continuous support to project requirements within the Reckitt business.

The Analytical Assistant is able to demonstrate clear and timely progress towards being able to effectively & efficiently perform routine day to day tasks under minimal supervision and understands their accountability for the quality of work delivered.
Your responsibilities
- The day to day prioritisation and organisation of individual workload to ensure that project requirements and stakeholder needs are met.
- To ensure that relevant data is checked, approved, recorded and available for inspection in accordance with Good Manufacturing & Good Laboratory Practices.
- To maintain high standards of laboratory / office housekeeping in their work areas.
- To understand and follow all necessary Health & Safety systems and ensure that all work is consistent with safe working practices.
- Ensure compliance with Training systems.
- To ensure cGMP compliant delivery of their activities.
- To support the application and maintenance of laboratory quality systems.
- Apply & maintain the cGMP processes / documentation / systems that are relevant to their area, and / or as may be delegated by laboratory management.
- Identify and escalate focussed improvements to activities within their section where viable.
- Provide support to Regulatory Authority inspections as required.
- To ensure individual activities are aligned with those of the wider Mucinex team and analytical laboratory.
- To deliver assigned tasks as required to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicator targets
- To ensure that equipment and systems issues are escalated promptly to appropriate analytical team.
- Ensuring audit readiness is maintained.
- To communicate issues effectively and appropriately to ensure timely resolution with all relevant parties whilst maintaining the positive image of Reckitt and the Mucinex team.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the progress of their personal development plan.
The experience we're looking for
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer health, biotechnology, or related regulated industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of HPLC in a working environment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to analytical testing in GMP laboratories.
- Experience working in an environment subject to internal and external audits and inspections
- Good communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.
- High level of accuracy in working practices with close attention to detail.
