About the role
As an R&D Analytical Lead, you will drive innovation projects across the OTC Upper Respiratory category pipeline, ensuring robust analytical strategies and successful delivery from concept through to factory scale up. You will play a key role in managing technical risk, supporting cross functional teams, and bringing high quality, compliant products to market.
Your responsibilities
- Own and deliver analytical development within innovation projects from concept to factory scale-up.
- Define and align technical, consumer and product performance criteria for new developments.
- Lead analytical feasibility, ensuring milestones are delivered on time and to required standards.
- Identify technical risks early and drive mitigation plans with cross-functional teams.
- Support product scale-up and technology transfer using structured methodologies (e.g. QbD, DoE).
- Contribute to ideation, concept development and competitive benchmarking.
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing and external partners across a global matrix organisation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality and safety standards (cGMP, cGLP, internal guidelines).
- Support creation of intellectual property and technical documentation for regulatory submissions.
- Translate complex technical insights into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Coach and support development of junior team members and contribute to scientific capability building.

The experience we're looking for
- Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or a related field.
- Experience delivering development projects, ideally within an OTC or regulated healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of analytical product development across multiple formats.
- Demonstrated experience in analytical method development, validation and transfer.
- Confident in performing and troubleshooting chromatographic techniques including GC, HPLC & UHPLC.
- Ability to utilise analytical data and sound scientific rationale to assess technical risks and define mitigation strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem solving mindset with attention to detail and the, with the ability to turn strategy into action.
- Experience working in cross functional, matrix organisations.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex technical topics clearly to cross functional stakeholders to drive product development.
- Experience supporting or mentoring team members is an advantage.
