About the Role
Are you passionate about research, innovation and solving technical challenges? As a Specialist II within our Global Innovation team, you'll play a key role in developing new products and technologies, advancing our understanding of coating performance and supporting existing technologies and processes.
Working alongside experienced scientists and technical specialists, you'll design and conduct laboratory investigations, analyse complex data and help deliver innovative solutions that create value for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining scientific knowledge with practical problem-solving in a collaborative R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Develop and support new and existing technologies, products and processes
- Design, conduct and evaluate laboratory experiments to support project objectives
- Analyse data, identify trends and generate evidence-based conclusions and recommendations
- Plan and manage multiple project activities to agreed priorities and timelines
- Contribute to the development and improvement of test methods and evaluation techniques
- Conduct laboratory-scale trials involving coating applications, production processes and equipment as required
- Collaborate with colleagues across Innovation, Business Units, Marketing and Technical teams
- Support technology transfer activities into development and production environments
- Build an understanding of intellectual property, legislation and industry requirements relevant to your work
- Identify opportunities for improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance at all times
What We're Looking For
You don't have to tick every box. We value curiosity, collaboration and a passion for learning. Ideal candidates will bring:
- A PhD, Master's degree, BSc degree or equivalent scientific qualification, or relevant industrial experience
- Experience working within a research, development or laboratory environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience designing, conducting and interpreting experimental work
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to timelines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A proactive approach to learning and technical development
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
