Ready to make a real impact with fast-growing, innovative businesses?

I'm recruiting for an R&D Tax Consultant role at a specialist innovation funding consultancy that helps SMEs unlock government support for R&D, grants, and other innovation funding. It's a business built on the belief that great client outcomes come from pairing strong technical expertise with genuinely useful technology - and they're looking for someone who wants to help shape that offering as they grow.

You'll work directly with clients - mostly SMEs across a broad range of sectors - to identify qualifying R&D and innovation activity, lead workshops that break down complex funding criteria into practical terms, and build the kind of trusted relationships that keep clients coming back. You'll also get stuck into the technical side: assessing risk, preparing robust claim documentation, and supporting HMRC enquiry responses when they come up.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
