The Reablement Service

The Reablement Service supports adults across West Northamptonshire to maintain their independence and continue living safely in their own homes. Behind every successful visit is a dedicated Scheduling Team, working closely with frontline staff and managers to ensure services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Our Schedulers play a crucial role in coordinating staffing resources, managing daily schedules and responding to changing service demands. Their work helps ensure residents receive the right support at the right time, making a real difference to people's lives every day.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Scheduler to join our Reablement Service on a fixed-term contract until 15 November 2027.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating staff rotas, allocating visits, responding to service changes and ensuring resources are utilized effectively. You'll liaise regularly with frontline colleagues, managers and partner services, providing an efficient and responsive scheduling function that supports the smooth delivery of services across the community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities and making a real contribution to the delivery of frontline services.

This role requires someone who can balance competing priorities, maintain accurate records and communicate confidently with a wide range of people. You'll be using a variety of systems to update schedules, monitor staffing availability and support the day-to-day operation of a busy service.

Working 33.5 hours per week (including bank holidays), this fully office-based role at Ecton Brook, NN3, is an integral part of our operational team. The position operates on a 4-week rolling rota, including alternate weekend working, with shifts worked between 7:00am and 5:30pm (staggered start times, from 7:00am to 9:00am).

About You

A highly organized, resilient and proactive individual with the ability to effectively prioritize competing demands, who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. Experience in administration, scheduling, coordination or customer service would be beneficial, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Adaptable and calm under pressure, with the ability to respond positively to changing priorities and identify practical solutions to operational challenges.

Previous experience of workforce scheduling, rota management or working within Adult Social Care, Health Services or Local Government would be advantageous. Knowledge of Reablement services, scheduling software, GDPR and information governance would also be beneficial, as would an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Business Administration, Customer Service or a related subject.

Full training and induction will be provided.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check.
