Job Overview
The Countywide Community Reablement Team supports people over the age of 18 in their own homes, for up to a few weeks working across the whole of Nottinghamshire County. We provide a person-centred approach to assist people to regain independence, increase confidence, and learn new skills in all aspects of personal care and daily living.
Key Responsibilities
- Support people in their own homes to help them regain independence.
- Use a reablement approach to assist with tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and taking medication.
- Ensure safe levels of health and safety, considering any issues that may prevent a person from becoming independent.
Working Conditions
- The service is provided 365 days a year from 7am to 10pm.
- Operates on a 4 days on/4 days off rolling shift pattern, including weekends, evenings, Bank Holidays, and split shifts.
- Hours are negotiable with morning and evening work available.

What We Offer
- Excellent rates of pay.
- Enhancements at weekends (time and a half), Bank Holidays (double time), evening work after 8pm (time and a third), plus a split shift allowance (£10.48 per month).
- Rates of pay are for contracted hours and not dependent on the number of calls completed.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
PPE is a fundamental aspect of infection prevention and control. The Council ensures a supply of PPE to critical, priority employees to protect them while continuing to provide support safely.
Requirements
- Must have a full driving licence and access to a car to undertake home visits.
- The Council provides reimbursement for mileage incurred for business use purposes.
- A taxi service will be provided where disability precludes the use of a personal vehicle.
- No visa sponsorship offered for this role.
