About The Role
Based in Patchway, Bristol, this temporary Reach/Counterbalance position with Pertemps Bristol Industrial offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. The hourly rate ranges between £14.50 and £22.49, dependent on shift or experience. The primary duty involves the safe operation of both forklift types to manage stock movement, alongside loading and unloading lorries. Additional warehouse tasks will be assigned to support daily workflow. Candidates must hold a valid licence and demonstrate previous operational proficiency. Accuracy and adherence to safety protocols are essential, as is the ability to work effectively within a team to meet strict deadlines. Job Overview
We are currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Reach Truck / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse operation in Patchway, Bristol (BS34). This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role offering a competitive hourly rate and stable working hours.
The successful candidate will be responsible for forklift operation as well as general warehouse duties, supporting daily operations in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Reach Truck and Counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading goods from lorries and internal storage areas
- Moving, stacking, and replenishing stock within the warehouse
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Using handheld scanners and warehouse computer systems (WMS)
- Conducting basic forklift checks and reporting any faults
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Adhering strictly to all health and safety procedures

Requirements
- Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance forklift licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS, or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Confident using scanners and basic computer systems
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Strong time management and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
