About The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled React Native Developer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is initially set for three months with the possibility of extension based on project workload and business needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences and robust functionality. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere. The role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in mobile app development, particularly with React Native, and experience working with Expo and related tools.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in mobile development with React Native.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying apps using Expo.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including data models, API contracts, and application state management.
- Experience developing offline-capable or offline-first mobile applications, with the ability to discuss specific examples.
- Familiarity with on-device databases and storage solutions such as expo-sqlite, WatermelonDB, Realm, or MMKV.
- Knowledge of implementing request queuing, retry logic, and background or reconnect-triggered synchronization.
- Understanding of data synchronization challenges, conflict resolution strategies, and maintaining data consistency.
- Experience with data-fetching and state management tools like TanStack Query with persistence, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand.
- Experience in publishing applications to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers and backend developers, to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Implementing features that support offline functionality and ensuring data persistence and synchronization across devices.
- Managing on-device storage solutions and optimizing app performance.
- Developing and integrating API contracts, data models, and application state management solutions.
- Handling request queuing, retries, and background sync processes to ensure reliable data synchronization.
- Publishing and maintaining apps on app stores, including managing updates and addressing user feedback.
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold code quality standards.
- Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in mobile development to continuously improve app functionality and user experience.
