About The Role

We are currently seeking a skilled React Native Developer to join our team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely on a project initially slated for three months, with the possibility of extension based on workload and project requirements. As a React Native Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. Your expertise will contribute to delivering seamless, high-performance mobile experiences that meet client specifications and user expectations. The role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and adhering to best practices in mobile development.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in mobile development using React Native.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying apps with Expo.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including typing data models, API contracts, and application state management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing offline-capable or offline-first mobile applications, with detailed examples.
  • Familiarity with on-device databases and storage solutions such as expo-sqlite, WatermelonDB, Realm, or MMKV.
  • Experience implementing request queuing, retry mechanisms, and background or reconnect-triggered synchronization.
  • Understanding of data synchronization challenges, conflict resolution strategies, and ensuring data consistency.
  • Knowledge of data-fetching and state management tools like TanStack Query with persistence, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand.
  • Experience publishing applications to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Designing and developing high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
  • Collaborating with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Implementing offline-first capabilities and ensuring applications are resilient in varying network conditions.
  • Integrating on-device databases and storage solutions to manage local data efficiently.
  • Developing and maintaining robust request queuing, retry logic, and synchronization mechanisms to keep data consistent.
  • Optimizing app performance, reliability, and security across multiple devices and operating systems.
  • Participating in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes to uphold code quality standards.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in mobile development and React Native ecosystem.
