About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled React Software Engineer to join our dynamic team on a remote hybrid basis within Sussex. In this role, you will work closely with an interesting client on a new and innovative project that involves developing and enhancing web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in frontend development, particularly with React.js, Typescript, and related frameworks. Your expertise will help shape the user interface and experience, ensuring the delivery of high-performance, scalable, and maintainable solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects in a collaborative environment that values innovation and professional growth.

- Professional certifications in software engineering, architecture, or product management.
- At least two years of experience in building, mentoring, and managing high-performance distributed engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience developing data-driven UI and dynamic forms, such as JSON-schema based forms.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies including React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with React Hooks and functional component patterns.
- Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux and/or Context API.
- Experience with React Testing Library or similar testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of integrating with RESTful APIs and web service technologies.
- Knowledge of JSON and related web technologies.
- Understanding of performance optimization techniques for web applications.
- Experience working within agile development environments.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities for this role include:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality React-based web applications, ensuring responsiveness and performance.
- Implement dynamic, data-driven UI components, including complex forms based on JSON schemas.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Participate actively in code reviews to uphold coding standards, best practices, and performance benchmarks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development workflows and methodologies within an agile team.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure application stability and quality.
- Optimize application performance through effective coding practices and performance tuning techniques.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
- Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment.
