About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled React Software Engineer to join our dynamic team working on an exciting new project with one of our prominent clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative web applications, utilizing your expertise in frontend technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable web interfaces that meet industry standards and client requirements. This position is based in Sussex with a flexible hybrid remote work arrangement, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver seamless user experiences.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in frontend web development, particularly with React.js, Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Professional certifications in software engineering, architecture, or product management are preferred.
  • At least two years of hands-on experience building, mentoring, and managing high-performance distributed engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven UI development and dynamic forms, including JSON-schema based forms.
  • Experience in developing, testing, and improving application code to meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with React Hooks, functional component patterns, and state management tools such as Redux or Context API.
  • Experience with React Testing Library or similar testing frameworks for ensuring code quality.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API integration, JSON, and web service technologies.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applications.
  • Experience working within agile development environments, participating in code reviews, and adhering to best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive, scalable, and high-performance web applications using React.js and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to translate requirements into functional user interfaces.
  • Implement dynamic forms and data-driven UI components to enhance user experience and engagement.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
  • Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks and applying suitable techniques.
  • Ensure code quality through comprehensive testing using React Testing Library or similar frameworks.
  • Integrate frontend components with RESTful APIs and web services, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in frontend development to continuously improve project outcomes.
