React-focused UI Solutions Developer
We are looking for an experienced React-focused UI Solutions Developer to join our team, working on high-impact, secure digital services for public and private sector clients. This hybrid role demands both hands-on front-end development expertise and architectural leadership, with a focus on scalable, modern web application delivery.
Key Responsibilities
As a UI Developer:
- Build high-quality, secure, and accessible React-based user interfaces.
- Translate complex design prototypes into responsive web components using modern JavaScript and CSS methodologies.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device performance and compatibility.
- Collaborate with back-end teams to integrate RESTful APIs and manage data flow securely and efficiently.
- Write modular, reusable, and well-documented code aligned with project and security standards.
- Define and enforce front-end technical architecture and coding standards across projects.
- Evaluate and introduce new front-end tools, libraries, and best practices with a security-first mindset.
- Lead technical design discussions and code reviews, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Guide and mentor front-end developers on React best practices, testing strategies, and performance optimisation.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and security specialists to create robust and maintainable UI solutions.

Essential Requirements
- Current and active SC clearance – applicants without SC clearance will not be considered
- Based in the United Kingdom and eligible to work in the UK
- 7+ years of front-end development experience
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role
- Expert-level proficiency in React and related libraries (e.g., React Router, Redux, Zustand)
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and responsive design
- Experience building accessible interfaces to WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Proficiency in front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of security considerations in front-end development

Desirable Skills
- Experience in government or regulated industries
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Experience with design systems (e.g., GOV.UK Design System, Storybook)
- Knowledge of server-side rendering (e.g., Next.js)
- Exposure to DevOps tooling and practices
