Our client, a prominent real estate debt advisor, seeks an analyst with around 18 months' relevant experience for its London-based capital markets business.

Role Requirements:

  • Strong financial modelling, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Currently working in an investment, financing (debt), or consulting/advisory/capital markets role.

Compensation:

  • Salary up to a maximum of £60,000 (depending on experience).
  • Plus discretionary, performance-related bonus scheme.

Working Model:

  • 100% in-office working model, no remote work.
  • Offers great learning and collaboration opportunities.

Visa Requirement:

  • The firm will not offer a sponsored work visa. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to work in the UK on a full-time basis, unrestricted.

Evaluation of Deals:

  • Conduct due diligence on potential clients alongside other members of the team.
  • Analyse transactions from a qualitative and quantitative perspective, delivering a true value add offering to clients.
  • Undertake economic and market research to validate assumptions within proposals, with a particular focus on validating client assumptions on valuations to mitigate significant transaction risks.
  • Produce various cash flow models to analyse debt requirement and serviceability and consider appropriate capital structures to include senior debt, mezzanine, as well as equity.
  • Prepare full lender pack to present transactions to Lenders, and consider which Lenders would be appropriate to approach.

Deal Execution:

  • Present the investment opportunity to appropriate lenders on behalf of clients with detailed analysis of investment rationale, valuation, and capital structure considerations as well as potential exit strategies.
  • Negotiate terms offered by lenders and report back to clients.
  • Assist Lender in obtaining viable credit approval.
  • Review legal documents and assist the Borrowers' lawyers in negotiating facility documents as appropriate.

Lender Management:

  • Engaging with lenders to stay informed on rate movements, covenant structures, and evolving underwriting criteria.

Borrower Dialogue (Origination):

  • Involvement in identifying and initiating dialogue with potential borrowers, for example, approaching a landowner who is imminently developing a scheme to explore whether we can support them with their capital structure.
