An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Real Estate Solicitor (2–5 PQE) to join the nationally recognised Energy team of a leading international law firm in Bristol.
The team is experiencing sustained growth, with a strong pipeline of high-value instructions across renewable energy, infrastructure and major development projects. Working with an impressive client base ranging from emerging energy businesses to multinational utilities, developers, financial institutions and government bodies, you'll gain exposure to some of the most significant projects shaping the UK's energy transition.
This is an opportunity to join an established, highly regarded practice where you'll have genuine responsibility, direct client exposure and the support of experienced lawyers across a wider national Real Estate team.
Importantly, previous energy sector experience is not essential. The team is equally interested in commercially minded Real Estate Solicitors with strong transactional or development experience who are looking to develop a specialism in energy and infrastructure.
The Work
You'll advise on a diverse range of real estate matters connected to major energy and infrastructure developments, including:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
