Real Estate Associate Solicitor (1–2 PQE) | West End | Legal 500 & Spears Ranked Firm

Are you a Real Estate Solicitor looking to develop your career within one of London's leading real estate-focused law firms?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Real Estate team, advising an impressive client base across both commercial and residential property matters, with exposure to acquisitions, disposals, development, investment and landlord and tenant work.

The Team

The Real Estate team advises a diverse client base including developers, investors, funds, lenders, landlords, tenants, owner-occupiers, entrepreneurs and private clients across both commercial and residential property.

The practice covers acquisitions and disposals, development, investment, landlord and tenant, residential sales and purchases and property-related funding, with particular experience across residential and mixed-use development, offices, retail and leisure, PRS and Build to Rent, as well as high-value residential property.

The team works closely with the firm's Planning, Construction, Finance, Tax, Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams to provide joined-up advice on complex transactions and development projects.

The general Real Estate team is led by a long-standing Legal 500-ranked Partner who has been with the firm since completing their training contract and has grown alongside the firm. With over two decades of experience across commercial and residential real estate, they bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise, supported by a number of well-established Partners across both sides of the practice.

The Role

This role offers the opportunity to develop a broad real estate practice across both commercial and residential matters, working closely with experienced Partners while taking on meaningful responsibility and developing client relationships.

You will have the opportunity to advise on:

  • Acquisitions and disposals of commercial, residential and mixed-use property
  • Property investment and development transactions
  • Residential development, including site acquisitions, development agreements and plot sales
  • Commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters
  • Drafting and negotiating leases, licences, assignments, surrenders and other property documentation
  • Due diligence and property aspects of investment transactions
  • Options, conditional contracts, overage agreements and development agreements
  • PRS, Build to Rent and mixed-use developments
  • High-value residential acquisitions, sales and development matters
  • Working alongside the firm's Planning, Construction, Finance, Tax and Corporate teams on complex transactions
  • Building strong client relationships and developing a commercially focused approach to property advice

This is an excellent opportunity for a Real Estate Solicitor looking to broaden their experience across commercial and residential property within a highly regarded West End practice, with varied work, close Partner exposure and excellent opportunities for progression.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years' PQE (England & Wales) with experience across commercial and residential real estate matters
  • Experience of acquisitions, disposals, development and/or landlord and tenant work
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Good commercial awareness and an interest in the wider real estate sector
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • A collaborative approach and ambition to develop within a growing team
