The Work
- Provide advice on a broad portfolio of asset management work, managing your own matters as part of our client teams at a level suitable to your experience.
- Work on sales, purchases and financings with appropriate supervision and training and often as part of a team.
- Draft and negotiate documents to ensure they meet client requirements.
- Provide advice to clients to ensure that their interests are protected and that all relevant laws and regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Be part of key client teams working with colleagues based in other BCLP offices.
- Begin to develop client relationships, with clients ranging from private equity funds, property companies and our annuity clients such as the Crown Estate, Aviva Investors and Great Portland Estates.
- Get involved with development transactions ranging from acquisition of brownfield sites for industrial development through to town centre regeneration projects.
Skills and experience
- A minimum of 1PQE.
- Solid commercial real estate experience (based on your experience level).
- Analytical and drafting skills and a desire to deliver a high quality legal service.
- Flexibility and adaptability to allow you to manage your work proactively.
- An ability to manage your time and priorities effectively to work in a high paced environment.
- Commercial focus with a knowledge of key areas of the law and ability to provide clear, concise, practical advice.
- A willingness to learn to grow the legal skills and knowledge set out above (within a supportive team environment).
