The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior commercial property solicitor to join a growing and ambitious business at Associate Director or Director level.

Due to increasing client demand and long-term growth plans, the firm is looking for an experienced commercial real estate lawyer to lead and develop its commercial property offering in Manchester.

This is a genuine platform role with the opportunity to shape and grow a team, develop key client relationships and play a major part in the wider growth of the business, with full backing from a well-established professional services group and existing referral network.

Director level within the business is comparable to Partner level within a more traditional law firm structure, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a senior leadership position with real autonomy and influence.

The role would suit a commercially minded senior lawyer looking for more autonomy, leadership responsibility and the opportunity to build something long term.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
