The Role
This is a 10-week, in-person Summer Analyst position within the Real Estate Debt Strategies group at a global real estate private equity firm, based in London. The programme is scheduled for summer 2027.
The Real Estate Debt Strategies group provides capital solutions across the commercial real estate capital structure, with a focus on originating, acquiring, and actively managing real estate debt investments globally. Summer Analysts in this group work alongside investment professionals on live transactions across multiple asset classes and jurisdictions, with a focus on European real estate debt investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting new loan originations on behalf of opportunistic funds and mortgage trust vehicles
- Assisting with acquisitions of legacy loans, CMBS, and other public and private debt instruments
- Supporting restructurings and recapitalisations
- Conducting financial analysis and modelling
- Performing market research and competitive analysis
- Developing investment committee presentations
- Assisting in the execution of transactions
- Drafting memoranda for internal and external use
- Helping develop and manage client and banking relationships
- Liaising with the broader Real Estate Capital Markets team on business initiatives
- Analysing and modelling new strategic initiatives and business development opportunities within the group

Programme Details
- Duration: 10 weeks, in-person

- Includes mentorship, continuous feedback, technical and soft skills training, and networking opportunities across the firm
Skills & Experience
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or master's student
- Anticipated graduation date: summer 2028
- Basic knowledge of accounting and finance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Sound judgement
- Intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Self-motivation to find solutions independently, with willingness to acknowledge limits and uncertainties
- Demonstrated excellence in prior endeavours
