Real Estate Development Manager
We’re looking for a driven, commercially minded Real Estate Development Manager to join our growing team and help shape the future of Skechers retail across the UK & Ireland.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Real Estate, Europe, you’ll play a key role in identifying, negotiating, and delivering exciting new opportunities for our company-owned retail stores – from high-profile Concept stores on the high street and in shopping centres, to our growing Outlet estate. You will also be responsible for remodels, relocations, lease extensions, and early terminations.
From finding the next great location to bringing it to life, you’ll be at the heart of our retail expansion.

Key Responsibilities
As our Real Estate Development Manager, you’ll:
- Spot the next big opportunity – research, identify, and assess new locations across the UK & Ireland, providing clear recommendations and insights to the Director of Real Estate.
- Drive the deal – lead negotiations for new stores, remodels, relocations, lease extensions, and early terminations.
- Turn data into decisions – prepare deal summaries, financial proformas, and supporting information for presentation to the Real Estate Committee.
- Own the detail – coordinate due diligence and formal documentation, ensuring every deal is thoroughly researched and commercially sound.
- Bring stores to life – work closely with our Design and Construction teams to help ensure projects progress smoothly and stores open on time.
- Build relationships – collaborate with teams across the business and develop strong partnerships with landlords, agents, and other key stakeholders.
- Stay one step ahead – keep an eye on the market, emerging locations, and changing retail trends to uncover new opportunities for Skechers.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is commercially curious, highly organised, and confident making things happen.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in real estate site selection and analysis.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- The confidence to build strong relationships across multiple teams and levels of the business.
- A proactive mindset, with accountability for delivering results and overcoming obstacles.
- A willingness to travel regularly, including site visits, assessments, and conferences.
- Fluent English.
- Additional languages are desirable.
