Real Estate Finance Lawyer
Location: Glasgow
Firm: L500 Ranked Boutique | High-Value Real Estate Practice
Salary: Highly Lucrative Salary + Excellent Benefits
The Role & The Work
An opportunity to join a highly recognised, L500 ranked Real Estate team offering a platform that is hard to find in the Scottish market, with mentoring and exposure to working with top-named London law firms, within a supportive team environment.
Real Estate Finance is the key focus, with the team handling high-value and complex transactions, including significant cross-border matters and work involving major UK and international firms. The team deals with HNW and complex Real Estate Finance transactions, advising on transactions worth several hundred million pounds, giving you exposure to sophisticated work and high-profile clients from day one.
You’ll work within a small and experienced team, meaning you won’t be one of many lawyers operating within a large hierarchy. Instead, you’ll have real responsibility, direct access to senior decision-makers and the opportunity to become an important part of the continued growth of the practice and overall firm.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The team is busy, ambitious and passionate about the work they do. It’s an environment that will suit someone who enjoys high-quality work, takes ownership of their matters and wants to play an active role in building something, rather than simply stepping into an established structure.
One of the most unique Real Estate Finance opportunities I have seen in the market, this role offers a 2+ PQE Lawyer the chance to take on responsibility well beyond their PQE, build business acumen and accelerate their career, all without the feeling of being just another cog in the wheel.
