Real Estate Finance Lawyer | London
Focus purely on fee-earning real estate finance work, with the flexibility to work predominantly from home.
About the Firm
Our client is a fast-growing, entrepreneurial law firm operating a fee-share model that gives lawyers genuine flexibility and autonomy over how they work. You will be joining a specialist real estate finance team of ten, made up of partners, employed lawyers and consultants, known for a close-knit, supportive culture where no one works in isolation, with regular team get-togethers at least once a quarter.
About the Role
This role is focused squarely on fee-earning and casework, with no requirement to bring in business, although business development and client management experience would be a plus. You will take on complex real estate finance matters and provide supervision and mentoring to a more junior member of the team. The role offers genuine flexibility: a minimum of one day a week in the London office, with two days a week the ideal so you can work closely with the colleague you are mentoring, but no fixed office days are required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
