About the Role
This Top 50 National firm is growing its Real Estate / Real Estate Finance team and is looking to appoint an ambitious lawyer to join one of the most highly regarded and fast-growing teams in the market.
Applications are welcomed from lawyers around the 3-8 PQE range, although exceptional candidates outside of this bracket will also be considered. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to combine high-quality lender and borrower-side work with a clear route to Senior Associate, Managing Associate and, for more senior hires, a genuine pathway towards Partnership.
Key Responsibilities
The team sits at the heart of some of the UK's most significant real estate finance transactions, advising major banks, institutional lenders, private credit funds, investors, developers and sponsors across a broad range of asset classes. You'll work alongside highly regarded partners and specialists across real estate, corporate, construction and tax, providing clients with fully integrated commercial advice.
Recent matters have included:
- Advising on a £200m development facility relating to a luxury hotel and residential scheme
- Acting on a £100m refinance of a portfolio of properties
- Advising lenders on complex development financings across London and the UK
- Supporting major regeneration and social housing schemes involving funding structures exceeding £250m
- Acting on high-value student accommodation, care home and mixed-use financing transactions

This role offers exposure to a broad mix of:
- Investment and development finance
- Bilateral and syndicated lending
- Secured and unsecured financing transactions
- Real estate acquisitions and refinancings
- Complex cross-border transactions
- Private credit and alternative lender mandates
- Portfolio financings across multiple asset classes
Candidate Profile
The team is particularly interested in individuals who can take ownership of transactions and build trusted relationships with clients from an early stage. You'll be encouraged to develop your profile, contribute ideas, and become an integral part of a team that genuinely rewards initiative and performance.
You'll ideally have:
- Approximately 3-8 years' PQE (flexibility either side for strong candidates)
- Strong real estate finance experience gained at a recognised regional, national or City firm
- The ability to draft and negotiate facility agreements with minimal supervision
- Experience managing transactions and running deals autonomously
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
