Job Opportunity: Senior Associate - Real Estate Finance

Our client, a highly regarded commercial law firm, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Associate to join its established Real Estate Finance team based in their Manchester offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex real estate finance transactions from instruction through to completion, ensuring matters are delivered efficiently and to the highest professional standards.
  • Advise a broad range of lender clients, including banks, financial institutions, alternative lenders and investors, on secured lending transactions involving a variety of commercial property assets.
  • Draft, review and negotiate facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documentation, guarantees and all ancillary finance documents.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the firm's Real Estate, Corporate and Banking teams to deliver seamless, commercially focused advice on multi-disciplinary transactions.
  • Take responsibility for transaction management, coordinating internal teams and external advisers to ensure successful deal execution within agreed timescales.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and identifying opportunities to provide additional legal services.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with 7+ years' PQE gained within a recognised commercial law firm, with substantial experience in real estate finance and secured lending transactions.

You Will Demonstrate

  • Extensive experience acting on complex real estate finance matters for lenders and, ideally, borrowers across a broad range of sectors.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of real estate finance documentation, including facility agreements, security packages, intercreditor arrangements and related finance documents.
  • A proven ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions from inception through to completion.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills, combined with sound commercial judgement.
  • Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers, with a genuine interest in mentoring and supporting career progression.
  • The ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining exceptional levels of client service and attention to detail.
