(Finance & Investment)

We pride ourselves on our exceptional client service, and sector insights. With an impressive client base that includes regional and national investors, developers, landowners, funders and public sector regeneration bodies, we can offer the right candidate an unrivalled variety and quality of work.

Our national presence spans eight locations, and our wider Real Estate team offers exciting opportunities for growth and engagement.

What is the role?

As a Real Estate Lawyer within the Newcastle contingent of our national team, you'll play a pivotal role in handling diverse commercial real estate investment and asset management matters. You'll also provide crucial support on larger real estate finance and corporate support transactions. The team is fast growing and provides a supportive environment, allowing you to quickly immerse yourself in high-quality work and develop your skills.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

We're keen to see applications from enthusiastic real estate lawyers who've had exposure to complex real estate work. You'll need some experience of collaborating on real estate investment projects, drafting and reviewing legal documents related to asset management, acquisitions, disposals and real estate finance transactions and some knowledge of development work would be helpful.

Ultimately you must have the ability to deliver a first-class service to our clients. You'll be a lawyer who is excited at the prospect of working in a busy and supportive environment. Excellent drafting skills, a sense of commercial pragmatism, a bright mind and a strong team ethos to help further develop the team's client base is important for this role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
