Real Estate Partner | Scotland
Glasgow / Edinburgh | Hybrid | Partner Level
What could you build if you had the platform to match your ambition? We are working with a leading national law firm with an ambitious growth strategy for Scotland, and we are looking to speak with an established Real Estate Partner who wants to play a significant role in that journey.
This is an opportunity for someone with an established reputation, strong client relationships, and a genuine appetite for growth to join a business that can offer the national platform, infrastructure, and resources to support your ambitions — while giving you the freedom to shape and grow your practice.
A Real Estate Practice with Room to Grow
The opportunity would suit a Partner with a strong commercial real estate practice, particularly someone operating across areas such as:
- Commercial property
- Development and strategic land
- Investment and acquisitions
- Energy and renewables
- Infrastructure
- Land assembly and consenting
- Development and regeneration
There is also significant scope to work with clients across the firm's wider national platform, creating opportunities to develop relationships across corporate, finance, construction, planning, energy, and infrastructure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who Are We Looking For?
We are interested in speaking with established Real Estate Partners who have built a strong reputation in the Scottish market. You may already have a broad commercial property practice, or you may have developed a particular specialism in areas such as development, strategic land, investment, energy, or infrastructure.
What matters most is that you bring:
- A strong background in Scottish commercial real estate
- The credibility to operate at Partner level
- The ambition to play a meaningful role in a growing Scottish business
- The ability to identify opportunities and collaborate across a national platform
Why This Opportunity?
The Scottish operation is already established and growing. The ambition now is to continue building a significant, full-service presence in the market — and Real Estate will be a key part of that strategy.
For the right individual, there is scope to:
- Lead – take a prominent role in the continued development of the Scottish Real Estate practice.
- Grow – leverage your existing relationships while accessing a much wider national client base and referral network.
- Diversify – work across traditional commercial real estate alongside exciting growth areas such as energy transition, renewables, and infrastructure.
- Build – develop a team and shape the practice around your own strengths and market relationships.
- Collaborate – work alongside highly regarded specialists across Real Estate and complementary practice areas throughout the UK.

The Proposition
You don't need to be looking for a move right now. In fact, this could be particularly interesting if you're not actively looking but have reached the point where you're asking yourself what the next stage of your career could look like.
If you're an established Real Estate Partner and the prospect of building rather than simply inheriting appeals to you, I'd be very happy to have a confidential conversation.
