If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.
We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.
We are currently seeking an experienced Real Estate Product & Technology Owner.
We are defining the future Portfolio & Transactions Management products — a single, integrated platform that will replace a fragmented estate of various tools. This role sits at the centre of that definition, translating what the business needs into clear, prioritised requirements that the product and engineering teams can build and ensure smooth transition. You will be the bridge between the real-estate strategy, transactions and estate management business and the technology that will serve it: fluent in the domain, logical about solutions, and rigorous about the process change that makes a new capability actually stick, as well as ensuring current systems remain current and functional through the change.
As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
In this role you will:
- Own the business requirements for the Portfolio & Transaction Management product — elicit, structure, prioritise and maintain them as the single source of truth for what is being built
- Translate business need into product — turn strategy, processes and pain points into user stories, acceptance criteria and a prioritised backlog with the Global Product Owner
- Lead discovery and definition — run workshops and interviews across global, regional and market stakeholders to define the future-state capability while it is still being shaped
- Drive business process change — design the target process alongside the product, and plan the change so new ways of working are adopted, not resisted
- Bridge business and technology — work with solution and engineering teams to pressure-test feasibility, shape options and keep requirements logically sound and buildable
- Prioritise and trade off — balance value, effort and risk across a broad set of demands, and make the reasoning transparent to both reporting lines. Own and drive prioritisation of work delivered by technology teams/pods, balancing business value, risk, resilience and delivery constraints
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Business domain knowledge — real estate knowledge (real estate leases, strategy, business estate services) is critical, portfolio or corporate services, and the processes that run them
- Logical solutions & technology capability — able to reason about system design, data and integration without needing to be an engineer
- Business process change — proven experience redesigning processes and embedding new ways of working
- Stakeholder management — comfortable operating across a split reporting line and competing priorities
- Data-led judgement — uses evidence and analytics to frame decisions and trade-offs
- Delivery experience — has taken a product or major change from definition through to adoption
