Role Description
The Commercial Property Solicitor will manage a varied caseload of commercial real estate and real estate finance matters, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant work, lease negotiations, property portfolio management, and secured lending transactions. Working with banks, lenders, investors, developers and business owners, the role will involve advising on complex property and finance transactions, conducting due diligence and title reviews, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and managing matters from instruction through to completion.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on lender panel matters, supporting transactions for major banking clients, alongside a broad range of commercial property work. The role requires close collaboration with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver commercially focused, practical advice while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance, risk management and client service.

In addition to fee-earning responsibilities, the solicitor will contribute to business development activities, build and maintain strong client relationships, and support the continued growth of the firm's commercial property and real estate finance offering.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Cardiff, with flexibility in how and where you work.
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction) with demonstrable experience in commercial property law, including transactions, leases, and landlord and tenant work.
- Strong technical skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating property contracts, leases, and related documentation, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research and analysis, including due diligence, title investigation, and advising on risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Client-focused skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly, manage client expectations, and build long-term professional relationships.
- Effective organizational and matter management skills, including prioritizing caseloads, meeting deadlines, and working efficiently in a collaborative on-site environment.
- Commercial awareness and sound judgment, with the ability to deliver practical, business-oriented advice to a wide range of commercial clients.
- Commitment to high professional and ethical standards, alignment with a partnership-focused culture, and an interest in equity and ownership models within law practice.
- Experience with business development, networking, or contributing to the growth of a practice area is beneficial.
