The Role

As part of our continued growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Real Estate Transaction Tax Director to join our National Corporate Tax team. This senior role will focus on advising clients across a broad range of transaction tax matters, including M&A, reorganisations, refinancing, and structuring. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading complex engagements, managing client relationships, and contributing to the development of our transaction tax offering.

A key aspect of the role will be advising clients across the real estate sector, including property developers, investors, funds, landed estates, family offices and owner-managed businesses. You will work closely with entrepreneurs, private equity houses, corporates, real estate investors and other stakeholders to deliver commercially focused tax advice on a wide range of transactions involving both corporate entities and property assets.

The Responsibilities

This is a technically demanding and client-facing role. The successful candidate can expect to be involved in the following areas:

  • Collaborating with internal partners to shape and execute our go-to-market strategy for transaction tax and real estate transactions
  • Leading on a diverse portfolio of transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, demergers, restructurings and property-related transactions
  • Advising clients on tax implications of deal structures, due diligence, and post-transaction integration
  • Providing transaction support on real estate acquisitions and disposals, including structuring and due diligence
  • Working closely with clients operating across the commercial, residential, development and landed estate sectors
  • Managing and developing strong relationships with corporate and real estate clients
  • Providing strategic tax advice that aligns with clients' commercial objectives
  • Overseeing the delivery of high-quality technical work and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
  • Supporting clients through HMRC interactions and negotiations where required
  • Contributing to the growth of the firm's transaction tax and real estate tax capabilities through business development, networking and thought leadership

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
