The opportunity
Are you an Underwriter looking for a new challenge? Do you want to join a team where you can add value as a key part of our International Real Estate London Team?
We're looking for an Underwriter to join us on a permanent basis, supporting a portfolio of multinational Real Estate programmes across Europe and beyond. Working with leading global brokers and customers, you'll play an important role in underwriting, servicing and growing a diverse book of business while building strong long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
You'll join a collaborative and experienced team with a strong reputation in the multinational market. Whether you're an experienced underwriter or looking to take the next step in your career, we'll provide the support, training and development opportunities to help you succeed.

What will you be doing?
- Deliver against underwriting and financial measures as outlined in the business plan.
- Review, assess and underwrite new business and renewal opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of multinational Real Estate programmes across multiple territories.
- Take ownership of allocated accounts throughout the policy lifecycle, including renewals, MTAs and policy administration.
- Lead and support key accounts, ensuring excellent customer and broker outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with global brokers, customers and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a key Zurich contact, handling broker enquiries and servicing requirements.
- Participate in renewal meetings, broker presentations and market-facing activities.
- Work closely with colleagues across underwriting, servicing and reinsurance functions.
- Accurately assess, select and price risk in line with underwriting authority and governance requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement, operational efficiency and service excellence.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture.

What are we looking for?
- Previous Real Estate and/or Property underwriting experience.
- International or multinational underwriting experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confidence in building relationships with brokers and customers both virtually and face-to-face.
- Strong analytical, risk assessment and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Experience of portfolio management, data analysis or reporting would be advantageous.
- Comfortable managing expectations across a range of stakeholders.
- Cert CII or Dip CII qualified, or actively working towards professional qualifications.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a good sense of humour.
