A leading professional services and advisory firm is looking to appoint an Assistant Manager to join its growing valuation team.
As an Assistant Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of projects and for the timely delivery of services.
You'll be responsible for executing projects. This is a diverse role with a breadth of commercial assignments and valuations for a variety of purposes, including tax, PPA, corporate finance, and restructuring purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Put together clear and concise papers setting out modelling approaches and valuation techniques applied.
- Provide effective project management of valuation engagements from inception to completion.
- Deliver clear, succinct, and robust valuation reports that are fit for purpose and accessible to non-technical readers.
- Manage junior team members on engagements, ensuring they are appropriately briefed and coached.
- Assist in the appraisal and development of junior members of staff, including identifying areas for development and collaboratively putting plans in place to address skill and knowledge gaps.
- Provide effective intellectual input and challenge to senior members of staff in the completion of projects with conceptual complications.
- Carry out relevant technical research in a specific area of valuations and disseminate key findings to the valuation team.
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, and barristers as necessary as a normal part of an engagement.
- Identify and recognize business and sales opportunities and inform the Partner and client as appropriate.
- Maintain a network of professional and business contacts.

Requirements:

- An MRICS qualification is required (valuations or commercial property qualification pathway) or ASA
- Commercial valuations experience and exposure across a range of real estate asset classes
- Relevant work experience in a valuation advisory capacity (in an accountancy/audit firm, a valuation consultancy, or with a firm of chartered surveyors)
- Previous valuation experience, or experience building and/or validating model libraries, gained within a leading investment house or buy-side firm.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy while working to tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in valuation techniques.
- Strong business writing, analytical, and Excel modelling skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
