Adelphi Real World – Real-World Project Operations Manager
Adelphi Real World (ARW) is a global consultancy in healthcare. We collect and interrogate real world data to aid the pharmaceutical industry in understanding the management and treatment of specific diseases.
This understanding informs the successful development of pipeline assets and the positioning of inline products. Real world data can also be used to leverage Health Outcomes / Economic argumentation through statistically validated publications.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking Real-World Project Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting operational excellence across ARW, ensuring we have the workforce capability, resource planning processes and operational infrastructure required to deliver its strategic objectives and client commitments.
Working closely with the Head of Real-World Project Operations, you will help develop, implement and continuously improve operational processes, frameworks and systems that support the effective deployment, utilisation and development of resources across ARW. You will drive consistency and efficiency in the way we plan, manage and support our workforce, while identifying opportunities to enhance employee tools, guidance and supporting materials that enable successful project delivery. You will also play a key role in ensuring our company values are embedded within operational processes, competency frameworks and day-to-day ways of working across ARW.
To succeed in this role, you will bring proven experience, a progressive and solutions-focused mindset. You will be comfortable navigating complex resourcing challenges, building effective relationships across the business, and working closely with leaders and individual team members to identify practical solutions that support both business needs and project delivery.

You will support developing and maintaining role-based competency frameworks, coordinating and delivering skills-based training programmes, supporting talent onboarding activities, facilitating succession planning, and ensuring teams have the capabilities required to meet current and future business needs. Developing a strong understanding of how the business operates will enable you to identify opportunities to improve workforce effectiveness and support long-term ARW success.
Accountabilities
- Lead and coordinate key workforce capability activities across ARW, including identifying talent needs, supporting ARW-focused onboarding, capability development, performance support and succession planning, ensuring appropriate tools, resources and guidance are maintained and continuously improved.
- Develop, implement and maintain role-based competency frameworks that provide clear development pathways and ensure ARW has the skills and expertise required to meet current and future business demands.
- Coordinate and support the delivery of ARW specific skills-based training and development initiatives, ensuring learning activities align with operational priorities and the evolving needs of the Real World Evidence function.
- Support the integration and reinforcement of Adelphi's values across ARW by embedding them within operational processes, competency frameworks, development programmes and day-to-day ways of working.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance Real-World processes, simplifying ways of working and increasing consistency to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships across ARW and collaborate with individual teams to understand team dynamics, challenges, capability requirements and future resource needs, providing practical support and recommendations that support successful project delivery.
- Develop a strong understanding of ARW's organisational structure, including central service functions, research teams and project delivery requirements, to ensure workforce capability initiatives support both business priorities and successful client delivery.
- Use resourcing data, reporting and business insights to identify trends, inform decision-making and support strategic resourcing planning and capability development across ARW.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as required to support the broader objectives of the Real-World Project Operations function and the continued success of ARW.

The Person
- BA/BSc degree advantageous but not essential
- 5+ years relevant experience essential
- Creative, innovative and great communication skills essential
- Experience in creating visuals and presenting to teams essential
- Highly analytical with attention to detail
- Proactive and highly self-motivated approach to work
- Excellent IT knowledge, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
