A well-established, multi-disciplinary Property Consultancy has instructed Beach Baker to recruit a Building Surveyor for its thriving Bristol office.

The Role

  • City centre office location
  • Part of a national Building Surveying team of circa 40 professionals, approximately 200 employees within the business across all offices
  • Exposure to a broad range of instructions across diverse commercial property portfolios
  • Balanced workload: approximately 50% project/contract administration and 50% professional surveys
  • Supportive and collaborative company culture

Why Join?

  • Prime Bristol office location, close to Clifton, Harbourside, and Bristol Temple Meads

  • Forward-thinking business where Building Surveyors have representation at board level
  • The Building Consultancy team is the company’s top-performing division, consistently exceeding targets
  • Work with a regional client base including local authorities, private companies, investors, and high-net-worth individuals (no institutional funds)
  • Relaxed, non-corporate environment with highly flexible working—office attendance typically only required for team collaboration
  • A genuinely enjoyable workplace, supported by a social budget and a refreshing lack of office politics

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
