Accountant - Belfast - £42,000 - £46,000 per annum

Your new role

As Accountant, you will join a growing finance team in Belfast and play a key role in financial reporting, management accounts, commercial analysis, statutory compliance and business partnering. Working closely with senior finance, operational and commercial stakeholders, you will support reporting on a portfolio of contracts, prepare monthly accounts and analysis, assist with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, and provide insight to support business performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant who wants to move beyond transactional finance and develop into a more commercially focused, finance business partnering role within a large, growing and well-established employer.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a newly qualified or recently qualified accountant with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a genuine desire to progress your career in industry. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data, reporting and analysis will be important, while exposure to ERP systems, commercial finance, management accounts or relevant secondment experience would be advantageous. You should be proactive, commercially minded and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
