About The Role
Are you an organised, friendly and professional administrator who enjoys working with young people and their families?
Townsend Church of England School is seeking a Reception Administrator & First Aider to join our dedicated and welcoming administration team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our school community, providing a high-quality front-of-house service while supporting the welfare of students and the smooth running of the school.
As one of the first points of contact for students, parents and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming environment. Working across both Main Reception and Student Reception Support, you will provide excellent service, administrative support and first aid provision throughout the school day.
This is a full-time role, but part-time will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Welcome and assist students, parents, visitors and external agencies.
- Manage reception enquiries in person, by telephone and by email.
- Support student welfare, including first aid and communication with parents.
- Maintain accurate records and administrative systems.
- Coordinate room bookings and support school events and activities.
- Assist with attendance administration and student services.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure an efficient and professional administrative service.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is highly organised and able to prioritise a busy workload.
- Has previous administrative experience in an office environment.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Can maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Demonstrates a positive, flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Has a genuine commitment to supporting young people and safeguarding their welfare.
