HIL Liverpool is part of the Heritage International Languages family, a network of language schools that has supported learners worldwide for over 14 years. Located in the vibrant, culturally rich city of Liverpool, England, the school focuses on providing immersive, real-life language learning experiences that help students build accuracy and confidence. HIL Liverpool offers a wide range of courses, including General English, exam preparation, Business English, online classes, foreign languages, and language camps, all delivered by experienced teachers and trainers with international backgrounds. The Reception & Customer Relations Officer is a part-time, on-site role based at HIL Liverpool in Toxteth. This position is responsible for greeting students and visitors, managing incoming calls and emails, and providing clear, friendly information about courses, schedules, and school policies. The role includes handling admissions-related inquiries, supporting registration and enrolment processes, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with teaching and administrative staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The officer will assist with organizing and promoting extra-curricular activities and events, help manage classroom bookings and use of facilities, and ensure the reception area remains welcoming and well-organized. Daily responsibilities also involve addressing student concerns, offering high-quality customer service, and contributing positively to the school’s inclusive and multicultural environment.

Qualifications
- Strong customer service and client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, courteously, and professionally in person, by phone, and email.
- Organizational and administrative abilities, including managing schedules, maintaining records, handling enquiries, and supporting registration processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage in a multicultural school environment.
- Proficiency with basic office software and digital tools (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets, and school management systems).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team, demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Experience in reception, front-of-house, hospitality, education, or customer relations is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of, or interest in, language learning and international education, with a commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory practices.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours on-site in Liverpool, including occasional support for events and activities.
