Support across the EYFS curriculum in a reception class

The Role

Support children across the EYFS curriculum within a Reception class, helping them settle into routines, engage in learning, and develop confidence across the school day. You will provide classroom support, work with children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis where needed, reinforce early communication, literacy, and number skills, and work closely with the class teacher to help pupils make a positive start to school.

The Candidate

You are patient, encouraging, and able to communicate clearly with young children. You want meaningful classroom experience, enjoy helping children develop confidence from the earliest stage, and are keen to build the practical skills needed for a future in teaching.

Requirements

  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
