Reception Security Officer

Location: Office Environment
Pay: £14.75 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 12:30 (32.5 hours per week)
Additional Hours: Occasional Saturday working may be required

About the Role

We are looking for a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Reception Security Officer to join our team. This role combines reception, administration, and security responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people and providing excellent customer service.

As the first person visitors, staff, and contractors meet when arriving on site, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional impression while helping to maintain the security of the premises. Due to the responsibility of opening and securing the building each day, reliability and punctuality are absolutely essential.

Main Duties

  • Opening and securing the building at the start and end of each shift
  • Providing a professional and friendly reception service
  • Welcoming visitors, contractors, and staff
  • Managing visitor sign-in procedures and issuing passes
  • Answering and directing telephone calls
  • Monitoring access to the building
  • Using computer systems to record visitor and security information
  • Receiving deliveries and assisting with enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate records and completing basic administration tasks
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the reception area

What We're Looking For

  • A valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • Good computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Well presented, organised, and approachable
  • Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility
  • Exceptional reliability and punctuality
  • Previous experience in reception, customer service, front-of-house, concierge, or security roles would be advantageous
