This is a superb opportunity to help shape the first and lasting impressions of our guests, ensuring every arrival, departure and interaction reflects the warmth, elegance and attention to detail expected within a luxury hotel environment. Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you will help lead the Reception team, ensuring every guest is welcomed with genuine care, every enquiry is handled with discretion and professionalism, and every detail is managed beautifully.

If you are a confident Front of House professional with a passion for refined service, luxury hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences, we would love to hear from you.

As Reception Supervisor, you will:

  • Take ownership of the day to day delivery of excellent guest service at Reception, leading by example and supporting the team to provide a seamless, professional and memorable experience for every guest.
  • Working closely with the Front of House Manager and other hotel departments, you will oversee arrivals and departures, support room operations, manage guest enquiries and help ensure Reception runs smoothly, efficiently and in line with Marcliffe’s standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Reception team to deliver exceptional guest service at all times.
  • Welcome guests on arrival and provide a professional, warm and attentive check-in and check-out experience.
  • Oversee VIP arrivals, departures and special guest requirements.
  • Handle guest requests, queries, feedback and concerns efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate guest information, room requirements and daily occupancy details.
  • Support the FOH Manager with daily tasks, reservation calls, room availability and rate information.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure rooms and guest requirements are managed effectively.
  • Ensure the Reception area and back office are tidy, organised and well stocked.
  • Maintain accurate restaurant, Drawing Room and Food & Beverage bookings where required.
  • Support team rotas, timesheets, holiday tracking and daily checklists alongside the FOH Manager.
  • Assist with operations and rooms forecasts, reception floats, change orders and administrative duties.
  • Provide clear shift handovers and communicate relevant guest feedback to management.
  • Follow Marcliffe policies, procedures and guidelines, including health and safety, fire, security and operational standards.
  • Support team members with training, development and day-to-day guidance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
