Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by the Unlimited Collection is seeking a charming and engaging Reception Supervisor with a passion for service excellence.

You will report to the Assistant Front Office Manager, working towards providing our guests with memorable experiences of the city.

The Reception Supervisor Will Be Responsible For

  • Guest Services: Ensures the team offer a warm welcome, accurate information, and ensures guest comfort and safety.
  • Guest Assistance: Offers recommendations, arranges transportation and excursions, and anticipates guest needs for an exceptional experience.
  • Check-ins/Check-outs: Performs check-ins and check-outs following company procedures. Handles special requests.
  • Communication & Coordination: Maintains effective communication, supports the night team, and ensures smooth operation through daily briefings and updated handover systems.
  • Shift Duties: Ensures completion of set shift tasks, maintains handover system, and controls the till. Upskills team members on tasks.
  • Financial & Policy Compliance: Manages guest accounts, processes payments, prints financial reports, addresses financial discrepancies and adheres to company policies, providing necessary updates to the team.

To be successful in the role of Reception Supervisor, we require:

  • Effective communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Proven standards of customer service experience within a hospitality environment
  • Previous Front Office Supervisory experience (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems (PMS) (advantageous)
