Role Description
FIXED TERM CONTRACT
On-site Receptionist role based in Newport.
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.

Daily tasks include:


Get help with your application

- Answering and directing phone calls
- Responding to inquiries
- Managing visitor logs and access badges
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing mail or deliveries
- Performing general clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining reception area cleanliness and supplies
The Receptionist works closely with facility and administrative teams to support smooth office operations and an excellent client and visitor experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Receptionist Duties and Clerical Skills, including managing front desk operations, handling mail, and maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent Phone Etiquette and Communication skills to handle calls professionally and provide clear information to visitors and colleagues.
- Customer Service skills to deliver a welcoming, responsive, and solution-focused experience for clients, visitors, and staff.
- Ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Proficiency with common office software and equipment (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets, phone systems, printers).
- Previous experience in a reception, front desk, or administrative support role is preferred.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to confidentiality and adherence to workplace policies and procedures.
