Join Our Farnham Honda Team!
Do you love the buzz of a busy showroom and being the friendly face (and voice!) that keeps everything running smoothly? Farnham Honda is looking for a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our sales and service customers at our Farnham dealership — no two days the same, and always with the smell of new bikes in the air.
You'll work closely with our Sales Manager, keeping customer contact moving throughout the day — from managing the enquiry desk and call list, to greeting showroom visitors, logging service bookings, and making sure every customer is followed up. It's a role at the heart of the dealership, with a bit of everything thrown in.
Main Duties
- Manage the incoming enquiry desk for both sales and service, handling calls and walk-ins promptly and professionally
- Complete the daily call list and carry out service prospecting to convert and follow up enquiries
- Manage showroom traffic and greet customers when advisors are busy
- Take straightforward service bookings and log them accurately
- Log every customer contact in the digital diary by close of business
- Answer calls professionally and direct customers to the right department
- Act as first point of contact for customers, suppliers and visitors
- Manage shared dealership inboxes and respond to general enquiries
- Take accurate messages and ensure timely follow-up
- Keep reception and customer areas tidy, welcoming and on-brand
- Maintain customer records and update internal systems
- Support sales, service and parts teams with general admin, filing and documentation
- Assist with booking appointments, test rides, service visits and handovers
- Support diary management for dealership activity
- Support the billing team — invoice prep, checking details, gathering supporting documents, collating job cards, authorisations and purchase orders
- Escalate billing queries to the correct person and keep records accurate
- Assist with simple social media updates (stock highlights, handovers, events, behind-the-scenes) and basic photo/video content, with permission
- Monitor basic messages/comments and direct to the right team, keeping tone professional and on-brand

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
