We Are Looking For a Receptionist
At our Head Office in Leavesden Park, Watford, to deliver a professional front-of-house service. The role includes welcoming visitors, managing calls and emails, coordinating meeting rooms and site access, supporting office administration, and working closely with the Facilities Team and Security Officer to provide an efficient, safe, and customer-focused service.
Please note that this is an on-site position based at Leavesden Park, Watford, with working hours of Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00 or 08:30 to 16:30.
You will be working in the Building Services Operating Unit, in the Commercial Property Maintenance (CPM) department, delivering nationwide facilities management, including M&E support, cleaning, catering, and grounds maintenance, using technology for efficient planned and reactive services.

As The Receptionist, You Will
- Act as the first point of contact for all visitors to the building, including clients, contractors, professional teams, and Skanska employees, providing a professional, friendly, and welcoming reception service at all times.
- Respond to visitor enquiries promptly and efficiently, directing individuals to the appropriate member of staff and ensuring a smooth arrival experience.
- Manage meeting room bookings through the Condeco system, ensuring rooms are scheduled effectively and any specific meeting requirements are arranged in advance.
- Administer the site sign-in and sign-out process using the Bluepoint system, including the issue, monitoring, and recovery of access cards.
- Handle incoming calls via the Skanska switchboard in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with appropriately or passed to the relevant person.
- Maintain the Electric Vehicle charging portal and manage the fast charger waiting list to ensure fair and effective use of charging facilities.
- Provide flexible support to the wider Facilities team, including covering annual leave and sickness absence, and carrying out additional administrative and general duties as required to support service delivery.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the Line Manager to support the effective operation of Facilities Services.

We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, customer service, or administrative role, in a busy reception/office environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, friendly, and approachable manner; calm and friendly under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office systems.
- Ability to handle calls, enquiries, and visitor interactions efficiently.
