Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Burgess Hill, RH15 9AQ

Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern:

  • 07:30 – 16:30
  • 08:30 – 17:30

Contract: Temporary Assignment – 16 March 2026 to 9 May 2026


We are currently recruiting for a professional and welcoming Receptionist to join the Workplace Experience Team at a large corporate site in Burgess Hill. This is a front-of-house role where you will be the first point of contact for visitors and colleagues within the building.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a professional reception environment and providing excellent customer service to both visitors and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the main reception desk and welcoming visitors to the building
  • Handling visitor sign-ins and ensuring security procedures are followed
  • Responding to general enquiries from colleagues and guests
  • Providing administrative support where required
  • Managing incoming calls and directing them appropriately
  • Ensuring the reception area remains professional and well organised

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a reception, front-of-house, or customer service role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and approach
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy reception area

Assignment Details

  • Contract expected to run until 9 May 2026
  • Based at a corporate office site in Burgess Hill
  • Weekly rotating shift pattern
